Betty Shockley, 84, daughter of Ollie Bordelon of Marksville
Betty Shockley, 84, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2010, at 4:10 p.m., at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Mrs. Shockley, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the daughter of the late Troy Brannon of Texas and Ollie Bordelon Brannon of Marksville, LA. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lafayette.
She worked at many different occupations including being a Recreational Director at Rosewell Air Force Base and Shumpert Hospital in Shreveport, Nursing Assistant at Barksdale Air Force Base on the OB-GYN Ward and a Veterenairian Assistant.
She is survived by sons, Arthur Brannon Shockley, Bruce Eldridge Shockley, and Branford Ray Shockley; daughters, Susan Shockley Moncrief and her husband, George Moncrief, Kellie Shockley Sims and her former husband, Jim Sims; eleven grandchildren, Christopher Shockley, Summer Shockley, Michelle S. Killinger, Shea Shockley, Amanda Judice Forness and her former husband, Matt Forness, Malerie Judice, Graham Sims, Adrie Sims Lester, Michael Bass, Catherine Bass, Theresa Bass and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Barry Thomas Shockley and her former son-in-law, Wayne Judice.
