Helena Dauzat Aymond, born November 14, 1933, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2014. A native of Fifth Ward Marksville, LA and a resident of Kenner, LA since 1959. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eunice and Telisma Dauzat of Metairie, LA, and her nephew, Michael Bordelon. She is survived by her beloved husband since 1957, Burton Aymond, Sr., her two sons, Kirk Aymond and Burton Aymond, Jr. , her two grandchildren, Jeffrey and Jennifer Aymond, two step grandchildren, Claire and Anna Jones, and one sister, Mildred Bordelon of Fifth Ward.

MARKSVILLE- A Catholic Funeral Memorial Mass for Mercier Gauthier Decuir was held in Dallas, Texas. Graveside services for Mrs. Decuir and her late husband, George Decuir, will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at 5 p.m. at St. Joseph Mausoleum #2 in Marksville.

Mercier Gauthier DeCuir, age 95 of Rockwall, Texas, and former resident of Rowlett, TX, passed away September 13, 2014.  She was born May 5, 1919 in Cottonport, LA, to Augustine & Eva Marie (Saucier) Gauthier.  Mrs. DeCuir attended Sacred Heart College in Grand Coteau, LA, was a retired schoolteacher and member of the YMCA.  She was a kind and loving lady and was very devoted to her family and friends.  Mrs. DeCuir enjoyed church activities, sewing and crocheting, and was a member of the Yarn and Darn Club.  She also enjoyed cooking, being with her family, music and playing the piano.

Graveside services for Lois McLaughlin will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2014 at the Bayou Rouge Baptist Cemetery with the Bro. David Trimbur officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie. Mrs. McLaughlin, age 85 of Marrero, formerly of Evergreen passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at the Marrero Healthcare Center. She is preceded in death by her husband; John McLaughlin. Survivors include her step-sons; Robert McLaughlin, Joseph McLaughlin and Roy McLaughlin and a daughter Sandra Williams.

Clarence Jones entered this life on October 27, 1929 as the third child of Walter Jones, Sr. and Octavia Batiste Jones in Cocoville, Louisiana. Clarence came to know Christ at an early age and was baptized in Old River by the late Rev. A .L. Holmes on Easter Sunday 1959 into the fellowship at Congregational St. John Baptist Church where he served faithfully until his passing, October 20, 2014 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana.
