Brooke Ashley Bonin and Jonathan Louis Richard exchanged wedding vows on Friday, July 23, 2010 during a 7:30 pm ceremony at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard, LA. Father Steve LeBlanc officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Ms. Pamela Mayeux Bonin and Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Bonin of Lafayette. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Mayeux of Hessmer and Mr. and Mrs. Aymar "Pip" Bonin of Arnaudville. Brooke is a graduate of Comeaux High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. She is employed as a third grade teacher at Westminster Christian Academy.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Duayne Richard of Lafayette. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Milton Richard and Mr. and Mrs. Noah Stelly of Sunset. Jonathan is a graduate of St. Thomas More Catholic High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. He is employed as a Banking Officer with Whitney National Bank.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an elegant gown of beaded Chantilly lace featuring a scalloped overlay on the neckline and elaborate hand-embroidered designs with crystals on the bodice. The dress also featured a stunning empire waistline wrapped in luxe satin and the scalloped semi-chapel train completed her look.

The bride was attended by her Matron of Honor, Mattie Henry, and her Maid of Honor, Christie Blanchard, friends of the bride. Bridesmaids were Simone Romero, Kimberly Epperly, and Danielle Wagner, friends of the bride, and Heather Gould, Megan Juneau, Haley Guillot, and Carley Guillot, cousins of the bride. Serving as Flower Girl was Gabrielle Richard, godchild of the groom.

Best Men were Nicholas Richard and Mason Richard, brothers of the groom. Groomsmen included Eric Dugas, Addison Henry, Toby Hargrave, Doug Stansbury, David Carpenter, and Thomas Weaver, friends of the groom, and Ryan Bonin, brother of the bride. Serving as Ring Bearer was Nicholas Cormier, godchild of the bride. Ushers included Charles Strong, Hunter Tribe, and Bart Robinson, friends of the groom.

Readers were Neil Juneau, godfather of the bride and Stephanie Johnson, cousin of the groom.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at L'Eglise in Abbeville.

After returning from their honeymoon in Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Youngsville.
