PANTHERS, TIGERS LOOK TO REBOUND:

As we head into this week's slate of games, we look back at last week, for the most part a disappointing time in the parish. Two of three teams were destroyed with only Avoyelles saving face as they crushed Oakdale.

Marksville was pummeled by Winnfield, 48-7, and Bunkie was no match for Holy Savior Menard in a 38-13 rout.

This week finds only Avoyelles at home as they entertain Jonesboro-Hodge in a game that should see the homestanding Mustangs go to 3-0 while Marksville travels to Eunice to take on a solid Bobcats team and Bunkie visits Iowa in search of their first win of the 2012 season.

TONIGHT; Week Three.

Bunkie (0-2) at Iowa (2-0)

The visiting Panthers look to get off the winless side as they trek to Iowa.

Marksville (1-1) at Eunice (2-0)

Another team looking to bounce back from a big loss is the Marksville Tigers as they travel to Eunice to battle the unbeaten Bobcats.

Jonesboro-Hodge (0-2) at Avoyelles (2-0)

So far so good for the Avoyelles Mustangs, at this point the best team in our parish after a pair of easy wins over Point Coupee and Oakdale.
