Sybil Dubroc Lamartiniere, only child of a Confederate Veteran still alive in Avoyelles. She was honored in June of 2010 by the National organization of the Daughters of the Confederacy as a "Real" Daughter. She lives in Fifth Ward. Her father, St. James Dubroc (1841-1925), served in the Confederate Army, returning home to the Fifth Ward area after the war. Sybil was his youngest daughter.
