Mrs. Bordelon, age 90, of Marksville, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Colonial Nursing Home in Marksville. She is preceded in death by her parents, Armand & Annie Lou Laborde Dupuy, brothers, Kermit & Wade Dupuy, and husband of 47 years Emeric “Mick” Bordelon.

She was a lifelong resident of Marksville, a homemaker, avid gardener, and artist.

She is survived by one son, Ronny D. Bordelon, Sr. of Marksville, one daughter, Jacquelyn “Jackie” B. Starns of Marksville, one sister, Anna Mae Scott of Shreveport, 8 grandchildren, Remy V. Starns of Metairie, Roman & Ryan Starns of Baton Rouge, Ronny D. Bordelon, Jr. of Marksville, Lisa J. Bordelon of Dallas, TX, Ashley B. Miller of Hessmer, Roch Michael Bordelon of Marksville, and Amie E. Bordelon of Los Angeles, 4 great grandchildren, Katelin & Caroline Starns, Gage Bordelon and William Miller.

Visitation will be held in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville on Monday, November 15, 2010 from 4:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will resume on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until funeral service time. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 6:30 pm on Monday.

Pallbearers for the funeral service will be Ronny Bordelon, Sr., Ronny Bordelon, Jr., Roch Michael Bordelon, Remy Starns, Ryan Starns, Roman Starns, and Alan Miller.
