Whether or not you are a person that believes in the phrase ‘an eye for an eye’, I think everyone in general, felt a sense of approval when it was announced on Sunday night by president Obama, that Osama Bin Laden was killed in a gun fight by US Naval Seals special tactical forces. When news was first made public, it was easy for people across the country to quickly flash back in time and visually remember exactly where they were when they first saw footage of the hijacked airliners that slammed into the World Trade Towers , on September 11th nearly ten years ago, taking many innocent lives.

Even with Christian beliefs that do not support the taking of another person’s life, some kind of way in this situation, it seems that justice was served, even in the eyes of the true believers.

Osama Bin Laden was able to elude US and Coalition intelligence agents for nearly 10 years, by living in various terrains but he was never out of mind. Because of his manipulative plan of evil back on September 11th in the year of 2001’, he launched an attack of destruction that would live on in people’s minds until the end of time. This vicious cowardly cold hearted murder against thousands of innocent civilians, made a clear statement about the personality of this evil minded man, and how far he was willing to go to inflict pain.

Hitler the German commander, noted as one of the most notorious murders of his time was also captured on May 1st. Now with the death of Osama on the same day only years later, we should petition the Congress to consider May 1st of each year, a national holiday.

The lives that were lost at the World Trade Towers , followed by our soldiers that made the ultimate sacrifice, in the name of freedom will never be forgotten. Now that the person responsible for this tragedy has been unwillingly put to rest, the world can breathe a small sigh of relief.

One thing is certain, whether you agree with the way this evil demon’s life was ended, justice was served.
