Cleothile Dewailly, age 92, passed away at the Avoyelles Hospital on Monday, May 16, 2011. She taught Home Economics at Bordelonville High School for 33 years in her education career. She was a resident of the Bayou Chateau Nursing Home for 3 ½ years. Mrs. Dewailly touched the hearts of many during her life and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her; parents, Emmanuel and Ida Bordelon; three brothers, B.J. Bordelon, M.A. Bordelon and P.W. Bordelon; one sister, Blanche Laborde; one brother-in-law, Albert Dewailly; and one sister-in-law, Verbena Dewailly.
She is survived by her husband, Voorhies “V.P.” Dewailly, Jr. of Bordelonville; one son Voorhies “Buster” Dewailly (Donna) of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Gretchen Krueger ( Jerry) of Stafford, Texas and Paula Bergeron (Terry) of Goudeau; one brother-in-law, Edmund Dewailly (Adeline) of Baton Rouge; two grandchildren, Annette Droddy ( Jason) of Baton Rouge and David Bergeron of Goudeau; two great-grandchildren, Ryan Droddy of Baton Rouge and Jacob Droddy of Baton Rouge; also a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
