Voter turnout was low, less than 5 percent of registered voters showed up at Avoyelles polls Saturday. President Obama and Republican Rick Santorum led their respective parties in Avoyelles. Polls were open from 6am to 8pm.
There are 16,095 registered Democrats and 4,028 registered Republicans in Avoyelles Parish.
