The bride is the daughter of Karen and Milton Habetz, Sr. of Crowley. She is the granddaughter of the late Eva R. “Tipsy” Kisinger, the late Oscar Faulk, Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. W. Andrew Habetz, Sr.
Celeste is a graduate of Crowley High School, and is currently attending McNeese State University where she is majoring in elementary education.
The groom is the son of Janetta and Tony Broussard, Sr. of Crowley. He is the grandson of the late Ernest Broussard, Sr., Janet F. Broussard of Crowley, the late Salvadore Guarisco, the late LaVerne Guarisco and Hortense Arcemont of Morgan City.
Jacob is a graduate of Crowley High School and McNeese State University.
Escorted by her father, the bride was breathtaking in a strapless a-line gown of Duchess satin. The bodice was beautifully adorned with embroidery and crystal beading for a dimensional sparkle. The gown featured a dropped waist with embroidery cascading down the back and encircling the hemline. The gown was accented with buttons down the back and double bands of Duchess satin trimming the empire and hemline. The gown was completed with a chapel length train. Her headpiece consisted of a rhinestone tiara and an ivory fingertip length veil with rhinestone trimming. She carried a dozen of pearl and café colored roses wrapped in ribbon.
In keeping with tradition, something old was a lace trimmed handkerchief belonging to her late grandmother, her wedding gown was something new, her earring was something borrowed and something blue was her garter.
Lauren Labbé, sister of the bride; served as the matron of honor and Katie Vincent, friend of the bride; was chosen as maid of honor.
Bridal attendants were Tanya Verret, sister of the groom; Cheneé Broussard, sister-in-law of the groom; Olivia Habetz, sister of the bride; Jenna Vail, friend of the bride; and Cherisse Henry, cousin of the bride.
They were each divinely attired in floor length taupe dresses with a latté colored sash. They carried mauve Gerberia daisies.
Chosen to stand alongside the groom was Tony Broussard, Jr., the groom’s brother.
Groomsmen were Perry Verret, brother-in-law of the groom; Toby Broussard and Shawn Leblanc, cousins of the groom; Chase Dartez and Codey Trumps, friends of the groom; and Tyler Habetz, brother of the bride.
Ushering guest to their seats were Joshua Richard, cousin of the groom; and Milton Habetz, Jr., brother of the bride.
Amber Habetz, niece of the bride was the flower girl and Colton Broussard, godson of the groom; was the ring bearer.
On her daughter’s special day, the mother of the bride was lovely in a formal length, two-piece skirt set. Completing her attire was a jacket with quarter length sleeves adorned with rhinestone buttons and pleated trimming.
The groom’s mother was exquisite in a pink chiffon top with gray slacks.
Both mothers were presented with a rose corsage accented with babies breath.
Appropriate musical selections were provided by Trey Hayes on the saxophone.
Scripture readings were given by Jena Bertrand and Amy Pastor.
Offertory gifts by Janis Fabre and Brandi Leonard were given to the couple.
Immediately following the wedding a reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
A large floral arrangement with a array of spring flowers was placed in the center of the food table.
The bride’s table was enhanced with a white fabric backdrop and six descending pillars draped with greenery.
The groom’s table featured an outdoors scene, and an elaborate table made of two pillars topped with glass and an elegant floral arrangement provide an area for guest to sign in.
The bride’s cake was a round three-tiered confection covered with ivory fondant. Each tier was wrapped with a latté colored fondant ribbon. Her cake was served by her godmother, Mildred Matte.
A Sportsman’s Paradise theme was the decor of the groom’s cake. Decorations for his cake consisted of a man figurine fishing, a deer standing in the woods and a four-wheeler sitting on the bank. His cake was served by Melissa Broussard, godmother of the groom and Mitzi Broussard, aunt of the groom..
Out of town guest traveled from Wisconsin, Texas, Nevada, Morgan City and Lake Charles.
Upon returning from a wedding trip to Cozumel, Mexico, the couple will reside in Crowley.
A rehearsal dinner hosted by the groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Broussard and the bride’s aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Faulk was held on June 13, at 7 p.m. in Crowley. Guests were served Jambalaya, beans and bread.
