
Jennifer Lynne Rhymes, was picked just outside of Marksville by Avoyelles Parish deputies and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, felony child neglect and one count each of misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Rhymes is also wanted in Mississippi, one of four now in custody in connection the theft of $8,000 in cash, jewelry and a gun from a safe at a family member's home there.
Once she’s extradited back to Mississippi, Rhymes will face the additional burglary charge. Jackson County Sheriff Mike Byrd in said Rhymes was the victim’s granddaughter, according to The Biloxi Mississippi Sun Herald.
Mississippi authorities believe Rhymes masterminded the alleged plot to break into her grandfather’s safe. The other three were arrested by Jackson County sheriff’s investigators. They were: Morgan Britney Chellette, 22, of Lucedale, booked on a charge of accessory after the fact to burglary, and Timothy David Hall, 22, of Biloxi, and Michael Dean Jacobs, 28, of Ocean Springs, who were each charged with one count each of possession of stolen property.
Rymes connection to Avoyelles was not clear.
