Funeral mass for Mrs. Remmie Bordelon will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the St. Charles Catholic Church in Goudeau with the Rev. Bartholomew Ibe officiating. Burial will follow in the Church of the Little Flower Cemetery in Evergreen. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. Bordelon, age 90 of Goudeau, passed away on Monday, July 19, 2010 at the Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy P. Bordelon; her parents, Emeric and Francis Normand; and two brothers, Reiss Normand and Simms Normand.

Survivors include her son, Emeric P. Bordelon, Sr. and his wife Florence of Marksville; her daughters, Geneva Turner and her husband Ronnie of Goudeau; one brother, Lurry Normand of Evergreen; eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a special niece and nephew; Sandra W. Armand and Gerald (Beryl) Normand; and many in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church in Goudeau. A rosary will be recited at 11:00 a.m.
