Funeral services for Sarah W. Wade will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday September 11, 2010 in Christian Baptist Church, Bunkie with Pastor Henry Wright, III, officiating. Interment will be held in the church cemetery under the direction of Progressive Funeral Home, Bunkie.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 9 a.m. until time of service at Christian Missionary Baptist Church, Bunkie.

Mrs. Wade, age 104, of Bunkie, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2010, at Bayou Vista Manor, Bunkie.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Collins Wade of Alexandria and Carl W. Wade of Oakland, California; two daughters, Magnolia Venson of Boyce and Doris L. Holts of Bunkie; and a special son-in-law Lawrence Holts of Bunkie; 38 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; 55 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchild.
