Another COVID record for Avoyelles; 44-case increase puts total at 699

Avoyelles suffered another one-day record for COVID-19 in today's noon update from the Louisiana Department of Health. The additional 44 cases since Monday pushed the Crossroads Parish's pandemic total to 699. The death toll remained at 20, where it has been since Sunday.

There have been 10,023 COVID tests performed in Avoyelles Parish since the virus surfaced in the state in March.
