Avoyelles has 15 more COVID cases on Wednesday

Avoyelles had another double-digit increase in its daily COVID update from the state health department.
Wednesday's report showed 15 new cases out of 359 tests. There were no additional COVID-related deaths.
The state also noted the parish's official weekly positive rate rose slightly, from 1.2 percent for June 24-30 to 1.5 percent for July 1-7.
The pandemic totals for Avoyelles as of Wednesday were 4,436 cases and 125 deaths. The state's totals were 492,840 cases and 10,808 deaths.
