12th District cancels jury trials for week of Jan. 11 due to COVID surge

Criminal trials in the 12th Judicial District have been canceled or postponed due to the current surge in COVID cases in Avoyelles Parish, District Judge William "Billy" Bennett said today.

"Anyone who has received a jury subpoena need not report for jury duty for the week of Jan. 11," Bennett noted.
