Avoyelles School Board may rename Marksville High gym to honor Jackie Small

Marksville High School’s gymnasium may soon be named in honor of former teacher and coach Jackie Small who recently died.

High school football season ends as parish's three teams fall in playoffs

After 11 weeks of Friday (and some Thursday) night contests, the high school football season came to an end in Avoyelles Parish in Round 1 of the 32-team playoffs in both Class AAA and Class AA.
