Louisiana COVID Phase 2 extended to Aug. 7

Gov. John Bel Edwards has extended Phase 2 of the COVID recovery plan to Aug. 7. He made the announcement during a press conference that began at 2:30 p.m. today.

The plan, which was extended earlier this month, was set to expire Friday. Edwards will sign a new proclamation Thursday to impose a two-week extension that will begin Friday.
