Cottonport Council hears report on sewer project completion

In a quiet May meeting, the Cottonport Town Council announced the contract with Spinks Construction, Inc. of St. Francisville had been completed.
The construction company had updated sewer upgrades and repairs and was funded under the 2018 LCDBG project funds.
In other business: - Holden Lafleur was hired as part-time P.O.S.T. certified police officer. A second officer, Mason Madrigal was terminated as a part-time NON-P.O.S.T. certified officer. No reason for the termination was given.
- A public hearing on the Operating Budget for Fiscal Year July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023, will be held June 20 at 5:45 p.m.
