Cottonport Law Enforcement holds community building day

Cottonport Law Enforcement and other emergency personnel and organizations gathered recently at Sarah Ann Williams Memorial Park for the first “Bonding on the Bayou.”
The event was coordinated by Police Chief Jennifer Lofton and Taylor Lemoine of Helping Hands organization.
“We want to build a better relationship with the citizens of Cottonport and let them know we are here to help and build a better Cottonport,” Lofton said.
Visitors enjoyed a day of free water slides, face painting, free drinks and hamburgers and more.
“Hundreds of people came through and enjoyed the day,” Lofton said. “This is something we hope to continue in the future.”
