Suspects still sought in Marksville shooting incident

The Marksville Police are investigating a shooting of a female on April 23 and are searching for suspects.
Acccording to Marksville Police Assistant Chief Jason Brouillette, the alleged altercation occured Saturday (April 23) in or around the Brouillette Street area.
“We are still investigating the entire incident and are questioning several individuals,” he said.
The exact reason for the altercation and/or shooting is still unclear, however, a victim had spoken to police on Monday (April 25).
Brouillette reported the victim, Geraioonna Boyer, 20 years old of South Hillside, was transported to a nearby hospital with a gun shot wound in the leg.
“The altercation seems to have taken place on Brouillette Street, however, the victim was picked up by emergency personnel at the Spirit gas station parking near the corner of Tunica Drive and Main Street,” he said. “The victim received moderate to minor injuries.”
