Penny, a young pit bull female, seems to pose for the photographer. The dog, between 6 months and a year old, was thrown from a moving vehicle in Marksville and sustained a leg injury. Donations came in from around the country to pay for pretty Penny's medical costs.

The Humane Society of Louisiana is seeking information on a man who threw a dog out of a car window on Brouillette Street in Marksville on May 21.
