MORROW - Funeral services for Ardean Howard will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the Morrow Baptist Church with the Bro. Bob Braly officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Friends may visit on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon at the Morrow Baptist Church in Morrow.
Mrs. Howard, age 94 of Morrow, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at her residence. Born on October 2, 1923, Mrs. Ardean was a member of the Morrow Baptist Church for many many years. She was the first woman security guard hired at Angola, where she retired. Mrs. Howard was a beautician for many years at her home and for 11 years at Tri-Community Nursing Home in LeBeau.
She is preceded in death by her son, Bobby Howard; a grandson, Gregory Shawn Howard; her parents, Henry and Antoinette Galland Mose; one brother; and six sisters.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Jack Howard of Morrow; two daughters, Lyn (Mickey) Deville of Denham Springs, and Marybeth (Ken) Fisher Kirkwood, Pennsylvania; one brother, Hilton Mose of Pasadena, Texas; her grandchildren, David Deville, Stephanie Wilson, Melissa Portier, Michael Howard, Bobby Howard, Brad Howard, Mark Howard, Joshua Howard and Jackie Camack; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will include: David Deville, Michael Howard, Bobby Howard, Matthew Wilson, Darrel Vannoy and Mike Fontenot. Honorary pallbearers include: Mickey Deville, Clarence Vannoy and Joshua Howard.
