Benjamin Venable,

We will forever remember Benny as the kind soul that he was. He has touched so many lives in a way that no one else could. God lends us His children on earth for a time period that He sees fit and we are forever grateful that we were able to spend 39 loving years with Benny.

He sought after peace and love, but he didn’t know that he was the epitome of peace and love. His gentle spirit made for the most wonderful and loving son, father, grandson, brother, nephew, and Uncle Ben. We will miss seeing his beautiful smile you and laughing at his sense of humor! We will hold close to our hearts the words that Benny lived by:

“True love is not how you forgive, but how you forget; not what you see but what you feel; not how you listen but how you understand; and not how you let you go but how you hold on …”

St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church will open at 9:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Stephen Scott Chemino officiating. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date in Pythian Cemetery under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie.
