Bernadine, lovingly known as Tite Soeur by all her family and friends, lived her life in Brouillette surrounded by her large family. She was born to Florence and Camille Bernard on December 14, 1938, the first of eight children. She grew up working hard and caring for others. Her joys were cooking, gardening, camping, fishing, and spending time with her family. Bernadine was an honorary Altar Society member. She and her husband, Gros B, eagerly awaited the church fairs at St Genevieve. Bingo was a favorite activity.

Bernadine was preceded in death by her husband, Martin L “Gros B” Broussard, her parents, Florence and Camille Bernard, and her sister, Nelva Rae Franks.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children Diane (Stewart) Bordelon, Blane (Rachel) Broussard, Jeffery Broussard, and Janene (Jay) Chauffepied. She will also be missed by her grandchildren: Brad McNeal, Chantel Hayes, Allen Broussard, Ariel Deming, Logan Chauffepied, Sydney Chauffepied, and Blake Chauffepied. She had eleven sweet great grandchildren. Bernadine will be sorely missed by her sisters Neva ( Isaac) Ponthier and Rose (Charles) Lester, by her brothers Fred (Linda) Bernard, Steve (Dora) Bernard, Kurt (Mary) Bernard, and Chris (Julie) Bernard. She was also beloved by a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank everyone who helped to ease Tite Soeur during her final illness, and express gratitude for all of the kind words and condolences shared during their time of sorrow.
