Betty Ducote, 89, of Marksville

A Mass of Christian burial for Ms. Betty Ducote will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Luke LaFleur officiating. Interment will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery #2. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Marksville.
Ms. Betty Ducote, 89, of Marksville, LA. passed from this life on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville, LA.
Ms. Ducote is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Ducote; son, Roddy Ducote; parents, Leo, Sr. and Mildred Barbin Desselle; brother, Leo Desselle, Jr.; sisters, Orena Waddle, Jeanette Baudin; great great grandson, Baby Brian.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Mark Ducote (Sherry) of Marksville, Dawain Ducote (Glenda) of Marksville; sister, Joyce Provost of Batchlor; daughter in law, Leila Ducote. She also leaves behind eleven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren, and twenty-three great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Steve Blalock, Randy Blalock, Rhett Ducote, Shane Reynolds, Shawn Dauzat, James Villemarette, Trey Clark, and Sumer Daigrepont. Cross Bearer will be Angelique Ducote.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at the church. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers with Fr. Luke LaFleur officiating.
