Brenda Balles Blood, 58, Bunkie

Brenda Balles Blood, 58, passed away unexpectedly January 21,2022, at CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria,LA. Brenda was born on January 12, 1964, in Twin Falls, ID, to parents, Valdi and Alex Balles.

Brenda was raised in Filer, ID, where she ran track and participated in drill team through school. Shortly after she was married and had two children, Brandie and Amber Balles. She then went on to join the Coast Guard in 1988. While stationed in Port Angelo, her son, Trevor Panther, was born in 1989, then in 1991, her daughter, Marissa Panther, was born. In February of 2008, since divorced, she met the love of her life, Stacy Blood, while working at Sammy's Truck Stop in Bunkie, LA. Not long after, in 2012, they were married and settled into their forever home in Lone Pine, LA. While in Lone Pine, Brenda flourished, making new friends into family and strangers into friends. She enjoyed working and being around people, greeting people with her contagious smile and laugh every day at Puff N Stuff.

She was caring and giving, so full of love and light, that all her beauty poured out of her and into anyone around her. She always made you feel at home, and just like you were family, or a long-lost friend. She gave and loved with her whole heart. She spent every second she could, traveling to be with her kids and grandkids. And when she wasn't traveling, working or shopping, she loved to entertain at her home. She was adventurous and always up to go somewhere fun or learn something new. She loved life and lived it to the fullest.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Collins; brother-in-law, Mickey Knight; nephew, Michael "Hippie" Knight; her aunts, Roberta and Milli and her uncles, Billie, Simon, Joe Balles, Jim and Joe Hernandez.

She is survived by her husband, Stacy Blood of Lone Pine, LA; her children, Brandie Greco of Watford City, ND, Amber Exon and husband, Bryan, of Watford City, ND, Trevor Panther of Los Angeles, CA and Marisa Avesing and husband, Travis, of Poplar Grove, IL; stepdaughters, Kylie Messer and husband, Brice, of Lone Pine, LA and Angel Ott and husband, Dylan, of Walker, LA; her brother, Travis Balles and wife, Lori, of Filer, ID; her sisters, Marilyn Fisher and husband, Larry, and Kathie Knight both of Filer, ID; her fifteen grandchildren and her fur baby, Stymie.

A Service of Remembrance will be held Monday, January 24, 2022 at 6:00 p.m.. Her family invites you to visit with them from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Both will be held at Melancon Funeral Home - 108 N. Lexington Ave. - Bunkie, LA
