ECHO - A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Brenda Stickells Bordelon will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 27, 2018, at, St. Francis DeSales Church in Echo, with Father Dwight DeJesus officiating. Burial will follow in St. Francis DeSales Cemetery in Echo, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.
Visitation will be observed at the funeral home on Thursday, July 26, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume in Alexandria on Friday from 8 a.m. until shortly before the procession to the church.
Brenda Stickells Bordelon was born February 6, 1952 to the late Tommie and Mary Knoll Stickells and passed from this life on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, in DeRidder, at the age of 66. Brenda was very independent and free spirited. She enjoyed her retirement and living life to the fullest, traveling, shopping, going out with her friends, motorcycling and mud riding. She loved her children and grandchildren, her family was her world. Brenda was very deeply loved and will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Terry Lynn Bordelon; parents; granddaughter, Taylor Elizabeth Bordelon; and grandson, James Tanner.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Ronnie (Kim) Bordelon, Jeremy (Amie) Bordelon and Rodney Parker, Jr.; daughter, Christine (Lawrence, “Jr.”) Ferrier; grandchildren, Lacey Tanner, Sydney Fearrand, Dale Tanner, Gabbie Bordelon, Garrett Bordelon and Colton Bordelon; great-grandchildren, Brylan Parker, Cooper Parker and Lylah Machovec; step-grandchildren, Kyler Webb and Katelynn (Dakota) Gingles; brother, James Louis (Wilda) Stickells; sister, Doris Wiley; and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers honored to serve are Garrett Bordelon, Colton Bordelon, Dale Tanner, Justin Stickells, Mike Raila, and Shane White.
