Brian Sampson, Evergreen

– A service to worship the Lord and honor the life of Mr. Brian Keith Sampson will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, July 16, 2021, at Magnolia Baptist Church in Evergreen, LA with Pastor Frankie Ford officiating. Visitation will be observed at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. Interment will follow immediately at Magnolia Baptist Church Cemetery in Evergreen, LA, under the direction of Robinson Family Mortuary of Pineville, LA.
On Sunday evening, July 11, 2021, at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital ICU Unit, in Alexandria, LA, Brian heard the final call from the Captain of his salvation. He now rests safe in the arms of Jesus.
On Christmas Eve (December 24th) in the year 1967, BRIAN KEITH SAMPSON blessed the union of John Paul and Ruby Nell Dobbins Sampson. Brian grew up in Evergreen, Louisiana and was brought to Magnolia Baptist Church as an infant. He was baptized on August 23, 1975, by the late Reverend Calvin Lucas.
Brian was educated in the Avoyelles Parish School System, attending Evergreen Elementary and Bunkie High Schools. Affectionately called “Honey Bear” by family and friends, he never met a stranger and was always ready to tell a joke or two. He enjoyed being around his siblings and many cousins.
On July 1, 2011, Brian was united in Holy wedlock to Sheila McGlory.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby; brother, Tyrone Sampson; grandparents, Willie “Monk” Dobbins, Lizzie R. Dobbins, Martin and Clara A. Sampson; and his nephew, Don Craig.
Mr. Sampson is survived by his father, John Paul Sampson of Evergreen, LA; three (3) sisters, Rita Dobbins Sampson of Lafayette, LA, Brenda G. Sampson of Evergreen, LA, and Kim Sampson-Pickett and husband Carl of Lake Charles, LA; two (2) brothers, John Earl Sampson of Marksville, LA and Tracy Sampson and wife Phyllis of Katy, Texas; three (3) aunts, Margaret Johnson, Celina Sampson, and Connie Murray; three (3) uncles, Robertson Dobbins, Gerard Sampson, and Landry Sampson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
We want to assure our community that we are doing our part in keeping everyone safe during this pandemic crisis (COVID-19). Therefore, masks will be required.
