Curry Heath, Goudeau

Curry “T-Nank” Heath was born on September 23rd, 1930, to the union of Jacob and Leaner Heath in Goudeau, Louisiana. He was the fourth child of thirteen children. He departed this life and was called to eternal rest on May 4, 2022, after 91 outstanding years of hard work and perseverance.

Curry entered the workforce at an early age holding various positions throughout his life. He retired after 30 plus years as a Supervisor from Allen’s Canning Factory in Hessmer, Louisiana. He was a true advocate of hardwork and shared his story with many.

He will forever be cherished and remembered as the patriarch of a family built on love. As the father of eight children, he helped with raising seven grandchildren and was a man of influence to others. He enjoyed being the provider to his family, spending time with loved ones, major league baseball, and watching wrestling matches.

He is now reunited in heaven with his parents Jacob and Leaner Heath, siblings Celestine, Samuel, Ivory, Thelma, Dorothy, Ida, Rose Mary, and Willie Heath, daughter Glenda Augustine, and grandchildren Roderic Lavalais and Samantha Augustine.

Curry leaves to continue his legacy: wife: Mary Heath of Marksville, Louisiana, three siblings: Betty Ethridge (Bobby) of Monroe, Louisiana, Ella Mae Heath of Bunkie, Louisiana, Berry Heath (Gilda) of Mansura, Louisiana, seven children: Diane Prater (Malcolm) and Alma Lavalais (Richard) of Cottonport, Louisiana, Jessie Heath (Pamela) , Claude Heath (Alzenia), and Marvin Heath of Houston, Tx, Brent Heath (Margie) of Richmond, Tx, Melinda Williams of Beaumont, Tx, 28 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
