BUNKIE - Funeral services for D.J. Marcotte will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie with the Bro. Charlie Lowe officiating.  Burial will follow in Pythian Cemetery.
Friends may visit on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
   Mr. Marcotte, age 76 of Cheneyville, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital.
   He is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin J. and Frances Carmouche Marcotte; and two grandchildren, Dane Marcotte and Kelly Stephens.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Ruth Blood Marcotte of Cheneyville; his two sons, Randy Marcotte of Cheneyville and Greg Marcotte of Cheneyville; his daughters, Kim M. (Edward) Dyer of Port Neches, Texas and Rhonda M. (Rowdy) Andress of Echo; his brother, Donald (Henrietta) Marcotte of Bunkie; his sister, Carol (Edward) Johnson of Lone Pine; his grandchildren, Trent Andrus, Jalyn Plaisance, Holli Dyer, Tyler Marcotte, Rhen Dyer, Ainslee Dyer, Zanna Marcotte, Rylee Andress, Reese Andress and Ryder Andress; and 18 great-grandchildren.
