Dorothy "Dot" Lacombe Redmon Onishea, age 73 of Bunkie, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at MD Anderson hospital in Houston Texas. She worked at Bernice’s sandwich shop in Bunkie for many years where she served local customers with a smile that was hard to forget. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and friend. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her grandchildren and spoil them. She loved to work out in her yard and plant beautiful flowers to pass the time outside peacefully. She also really enjoyed a good Bouree game with her kids and her brother! She leaves a legacy of always being a genuinely giving person with a tough and independent spirit that was unmatched by anyone. She loved fiercely and never missed an opportunity to show that through day to day acts of kindness. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Carl James Redmon of 17 years, and Jackie Onishea of 15 years, her father Raymond Joseph Lacombe, mother Alice Kimble Lacombe, and her son Chad Anthony Redmon.
Survivors include her children: Craig S. Redmon and wife, Diana, of Houston Texas, Lisa R. Clark and husband, Joseph, of Bunkie Louisiana, and Donavon P. Redmon and wife, Nena, also of Bunkie Louisiana; her seven grandchildren: Carrie L. Ardoin, Ashley L. Ducote, Jessica C. Flewell, Nicholas J. Clark, Tyler J. Redmon, Kyle A. Redmon, and Destiny N. Redmon; her twelve great-grandchildren: Nathan Ardoin, Reid Ardoin, Spencer Ducote, Audrey Ducote, Oliver Ducote, Lilah Moses, Elayna Flewell, Knox Flewell, Ayva Tolbert, and Ashlynn Delcambre; one brother Ronald J. Lacombe; and her faithful companion Joseph Onishea.
