COTTONPORT - Funeral services for Mr. Edward Parker Richardson, II will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 16, 2018 at the Church of the Little Flower in Evergreen with Father Bartholomew Ibe officiating. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery on Indian Bayou in Cottonport. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Mr. Richardson, age 79, of Cottonport, passed away at his daughter’s residence on July 14, 2018. Ed was born on September 5, 1939 in New Orleans and was raised in Alexandria. He was a police officer for many years and a Navy veteran.
He was preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Edward Parker Richardson, I and Mary Bell Stanton Richardson; longtime wife, Ura Mae Moses Richardson; and one sister Mary Elizabeth Pace. 
 Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Lee Ann (Danny) Alpha of Cottonport, Angela Marie (Patrick) Sayes of Center Point, Edward Parker “Frog” (Aimee) Richardson, III of Bunkie, Robert James (Melissa) Richardson of Cottonport, Debbie Ann (Joe) Ortega of Alexandria, and Delia Marie (Gene) Richardson of Baton Rouge; his longtime wife and companion, Olga “Patty” Chapuz Tiquet; his grandchildren, Nicholas Richardson, Alexis Alpha, Tannis Alpha, Brett Richardson, Colby Richardson, Hannah Slocum, Christian Slocum, Leif Hamm, Liam Hamm, Adrianna Ortega, Roman Ortega, Cora Gilsdorf and Matias Gilsdorf.
 Pallbearers honored to serve will be Danny Alpha, Tannis Alpha, Jamie Richardson, Bobby Moses, Aaron Moses, and Macy Moses.
