MARKSVILLE - Funeral Mass for Emma Chatelain of Mansura will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 beginning at 11 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Mansura with Fr. Irion St. Romain officiating. Burial will be held at St. Joseph #2 Mausoleum in Marksville. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Visitation will begin on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura.
Emma Chatelain, age 92, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Lakeview Manor Nursing Home in New Roads. She was born on June 18, 1926.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin Chatelain; parents, Samuel and Blanche Neck; and siblings, Samuel Neck, Jr., Claude Neck, and Shirley Laborde.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Denise C. Lemoine of Lafayette, Michael (Crystal) Chatelain of Baton Rouge, and Myron (Phyllis) Chatelain of New Roads; her six grandchildren, Chris (Dana) Chatelain, Joshua Chatelain, Dustin (Heather) Chatelain, Adam (Jessica) Chatelain, Sarah Chatelain, and Sean Lemoine (Michiko Takahashi); and five great-grandchildren, Kade Chatelain, Sophia Chatelain, Olivia Chatelain, Michelle Lemoine and Sophie Lemoine.
