Henry DeCuir, 86, Marksville native

Henry “Hank” Alfred DeCuir, age 86, son of Forrest “Duke” Michot DeCuir & Hazel Irene
“Mamma” Gaty, was born in Marksville, Louisiana. He passed away on January 20, 2022 at his
home in Sunrise Beach Village, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Duke and Mamma, and his brother Forrest Gaty Sr.
Survived by spouse Trudy, sisters George Alice Dupuy & Julia “Tootsie” Janusz. Children
Chuck (Lark 1956-2021), Karen (Marvin), Karl (Denise), Andy (Christy) and step-daughter Kim
(Tyler). Grandchildren Seth, Hope, Paige, Logan, and numerous extended family members
and friends.
Henry “Hank” was a Naval Veteran, who served during the Korean war. He resided in New
Orleans, Louisiana for many years where he worked for Shell Oil Company as a geologist until
he retired. He was an avid hunter & fisherman.
He will be missed...
