Joan Bordelon, 78, Lettsworth

Funeral Mass for Joan Carol Bordelon of Lettsworth will begin at 1:30pm on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Simmesport with Fr. Paul Kunnumpuram officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Joan Carol Bordelon, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge. Joan was employed with Luhr Bros. Inc. in Alexandria for 32 years until her retirement.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Carlene Lacour (Donald) of Lettsworth, Jon Bordelon (Debra) of Lettsworth, Curtis “Paul” Bordelon, III (Sonya) of Ventress, and Blaine Bordelon (Gwen) of Lettsworth; brother, Stephen Joe Bordelon of Moreauville; sister, Peggy Brown of Cottonport. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Christy, Jon, Jr., Layken, Lindsey, Trey, Mariah, and Callie; 9 great-grandchildren: Abby, Kade, Bentley, Kollin, Bradley, Brody, Hayden, Charlie, & Kullen.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers: Trey Lacour, Jon Bordelon, Jr., Bud Smith, Jake Gremillion, Tre’ Allement, & Dwayne Muse.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Felix & Carrie Bordelon; and 5 siblings: Herbie Bordelon, Felix Bordelon, Jr., Melvin Bordelon, Gloria Dupont, & Alice Simon.

Visitation will begin at 9:00am until 1:30pm on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Escude Funeral Home in Simmesport.
