Joey Wayne "Poppa" Miller

Funeral services for Joey Wayne Miller will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 beginning at 11:00a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Innis. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 6:00p.m. until 11:00p.m. in Escude’ Funeral Home of Simmesport and from 9:00a.m. until 11:00a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church Friday morning. Burial will follow in the St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Church Cemetery in Livonia.

Joey Miller, 45, a resident of Lettsworth, passed away at his home on Friday, January 18, 2019.

He loved Drag Racing, riding his motorcycle, hunting, fishing, spending time with his wife “Mardi Gras-ing” and was an avid Saints and LSU football fan. He was a welder for the Iron Workers Local 623 for 25 years and worked for Turner Industries for 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Joseph Pizzolato; paternal grandparents, Billy W. and Marjorie Elaine (Acres) Miller, Sr. and an uncle, Karl Blane Pizzolato.

Those left to cherish his memory, his wife of 16 years, Toni Polotzola Miller of Lettsworth; parents, Billy Wayne and Phyllis Ann (Pizzolato) Miller, Jr. of Fordoche; son, Anthony“AC” Kirby and his wife Megan of Big Bend; one grandchild, Brantley Kirby; maternal grandmother, Lithia Pizzolato of Fordoche and an aunt, Anita Pizzolato of New Orleans.

Those honored to serve as Pallbearers will be Tommy Corona, Scott Stelly, Jack Spinks, Johnny Dubois, Charles David, Seth LaCour, Jacob LaCour, Thomas LaCour and Ray Reech.
