John Williams, 82, Bunkie

Funeral services with Military Honors for John Wesley Williams will be Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rrev. Robert Trent officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Trinity United Methodist Church on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 from 12 noon until service time.
Mr. Williams, age 82, of Bunkie, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at his residence. He completed four years at Southern University and was a US Army veteran. He was a retired Power Production Specialist for CLECO. He was also an avid bowler who regularly attended national tournaments. He also loved to dance. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Williams, Sr. and Virginia Williams; his brother, Oscar Williams, Jr. and Barbara Williams.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Betty Nash Williams of Bunkie; his daughter, LeShelle Anita Williams of Alexandria; his son, John Wesley Williams, IV and his wife, Sharita, of Elgin, TX; his sister, Frances Green of Houston, TX and his grandchildren, Imani Nia Williams, Braeden Van Lucas Pressley, John Wesley Williams, V and Elgin Alexander Anderson, Jr.
