MANSURA - Funeral services for Juanita Marie Sarpy of Fort Bend, Texas will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 beginning at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Mansura with Father Irion St. Romain officiating. Burial will take place in St. Paul Catholic Church Cemetery in Mansura.
Visitation will begin Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at Escude' Funeral Home of Mansura.
Juanita Marie Sarpy, age 64, passed peacefully at Saint Luke Hospital in Houston, Texas on Wednesday, August 1, 2018. Juanita was born to Preston and Theresa James on September 5, 1953. She attended and graduated from Mansura High School. She went on to attend Louisiana State University in Alexandria before moving to Houston, Texas where she resided for the duration of his life. Prior to moving to Texas she married her high school sweetheart Francis Sarpy. Juanita loved her granddaughters Payton, Danika, and Alexa. Juanita enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. She had a hand in raising all of them, and they all loved her and will miss her.
She is preceded in death by his parents. Theresa and Preston James; sister Charlene Wells; and brother Larry James.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Francis Sarpy of Houston, Texas; one son, Niles (Cyndi) Sarpy; granddaughters, Payton Sarpy, Danika Sarpy, and Alexa Sarpy; sisters, Sherry Ann James and Lena James; brothers, Ronald James, Paul James, John James, Floyd James and Clyde James; many nieces and nephews including Cedric, Chelsey, Gabrielle, Floyd Jr., Brandon, Julian, Travis, Michelle, Melannie, Jerilyn, Niles, Devan, Xavier, Gabriel and Jonathan; many great nieces and nephews; and three aunts, Earlene, Martha and Mildred.
