Leanna Guillory, Echo

Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Lillian “Leanna” Guillory will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Echo with Father Chad Partain officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francis De Sales Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.

Leanna Guillory, of Echo, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She is preceded in death by her spouse of 40 years, Gerald “Jerry” Guillory, parents, Lee and Beatrice Smith, one brother, Gerald Smith, and three sisters, Barbara Dickey, Loraine Brooks, and Anita Smith.

Mrs. Leanna was a devoted Catholic and member of St. Francis De Sales Church in Echo where she played the organ for many years and was also a member of the Altar Society. She was an accountant and tax preparer for forty years. She loved to dance, play cards, and have fun. You could always count on her to make you laugh, sometimes at your own expense, and there was never a dull moment when she was around. She loved her family dearly and loved to crochet for her great grand babies even more. She will always be remembered for her strong will, perseverance, and kind heart.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Michael (Mary) Guillory, and Keith (Gigi) Guillory, two daughters, Brenda “BB” Ponthier, and Angie (Chris) LaCombe; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will resume on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

Pallbearers honored to sever will be Taylor Ponthier, Derek Guillory, Brandon LaCombe, Clinton Giglio, Devin Ponthier, and Nathan Bridges.

Honorary pallbearers will be Edwin Krielow, Colton Hargrove, Keelan Guillory, Aiden Ponthier, Case Hargrove, Wyatt Bridges, and Lane Bridges.

In Lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
