Funeral services for Leslie Jerome (Shoobie) Hebert was held on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at 1 p.m. at Saint Mary Missionary Baptist Church in Lettsworth, with Rev. Vernon Simon and Rev. Isiah Nelson officiated. Burial followed at Royal Oak Baptist Church Cemetery. Services were under the direction of A. Wesley's Funeral Home, of Maringouin.
Leslie Jerome (Shoobie) Hebert, age 52, of Lettsworth, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at his home. He was born to the late Matt and Lola Hartford in Pinveille.
He was baptised at Royal Oak Baptist Church and was educated at Upper Pointe Coupee High School in Batchelor.
Hebert was preceded in death by his dad, Matt Hartford, Sr., grandparents, Eddie Hebert, Sr., and Harriet Hartford; aunt, Marion Hartford; two uncles, Eddie Hartford, Jr. and Alton Hartford.
Those left to cherish his memories are his mother, Lola M. Hartford, of Lettsworth; 10 siblings, Matt (Maria) Hebert, Jr. of Tacoma, WA., Elouise Gosserand, of Baton Rouge, Debra (Eddie) Robinson, of Baton Rouge, Annie Lofton of Simmesport, Ronald Hebert of Lettsworth, Carolyn (Daren) Wells of Lettsworth, Angela Draper of Lettsworth, Shannon (Kendall) Johnson of Prarieville, Earl W. (Vicky) Neal, of Natchez, MS, and Cecil Davis of Bentonville, AR., two special friends, Natasha Goudeau and Issac "Mussy" Honore and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
