COTTONPORT - Funeral services for Lester Gauthier, Jr. of Cottonport will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Cottonport beginning at 11 a.m. with Fr. Jose Robles-Sanchez officiating. Burial will commence at the St. Mary Catholic Mausoleum #2.
Visitation will also be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church that morning from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Lester Gauthier, Jr., age 86, passed away at his home in Cottonport surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, June 27, 2018.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester Joseph, Sr. and Addie Caillouet Gauthier; brother, Frank Gauthier; sisters, Beverly Gauthier and Elaine Broussard.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 62 years, Barbara Greneaux Gauthier; his daughters, Susie (Bud) Millet and Janie (Jon) Primeaux; his sons, Brent Gauthier, Sr. and Sammy (Jill Morrow) Gauthier; seven grandchildren, Jessica Gauthier (Chris) Ford, Brent Gauthier, Jr., Dustin Gauthier, Sarah Wise (Oran) St. Romain, Stefanie Wise (Kyle) Kellner, Mackenzie Gauthier (Josh) Williamson, and Sydney Gauthier; four great-grandchildren, Ethan Whitmire, Aaliyah Ford, Kayden Williamson, and Cassidy Williamson; his brother, Ryan Gauthier; and sisters, Florence Decuir and Peggy Bordelon.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church of Cottonport.
