MARKSVILLE - Funeral services for Ms. Linda Theresa Brouillette will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, April 28, 2018 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home with Father Wade de Coste officiating. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery #2 in Marksville. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 in the chapel from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral service.
Ms. Brouillette, age 64, of Moncla, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at Oak Haven Nursing Home in Center Point. Born on September 27, 1953, Linda was a very caring, spiritual, faithful and loving person who enjoyed life to the fullest. She had a compassionate, forgiving heart and was very talented with a creative, artistic mind.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tennie John Brouillette and Viola Mary Brouillette of Marksville.
Those left to cherish her memory include two brothers, Tennie (Terri) Brouillette, Jr. of Effie and David (Sue) Brouillette of Moncla; one sister, Doreen (Jim) Youngflesh of Effie; three nephews, Brian Brouillette, Luke Brouillette and Jake Brouillette; five nieces, Amy Brouillette, Ginger Smigura, Heather Perlis, Ashley Plaisance and Katie Brouillette; one great-nephew, Caleb Ponthier; five great-nieces, Kelli Guillot, Blythe Brouillette, Astrid Perlis, Delphine Perlis, and Saskia Plaisance; as well as one great-great-nephew, Brayden Guillot.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Tennie Brouillette, Jr., Jason Smigura, David Brouillette, Jake Brouillette, Caleb Ponthier and T-Glenn Ducote. Honorary pallbearers will be Zach Plaisance, Brian Brouillette, Luke Brouillette, Alex Perlis and Glenn Ducote.
