MARKSVILLE- Funeral services for Lionel Simon of Marksville will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 beginning at 11 a.m. at St. John Community Baptist Church in Marksville. Burial will commence at Starlight Baptist Church Cemetery in Marksville.
Visitation will begin on Saturday, April 21, 2018 beginning at 9 a.m. until time of service at St. John Community Baptist Church in Marksville.
Lionel Simon, age 68, passed away on Friday April 13, 2018 at his residence in Marksville. He was born on March 18,1950.
He is preceded in death by his mother Pearlina Conway; son Lionel Kelly Sr.; and brother Robert Simon
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 Years Gwendolyn Laurent Simon of Marksville; father, Ernest Simon and step-mother Bernice Simon of Marksville; daughters, Myeshia Simon of Marksville, Shameka Augustine of Marksville, LA; sons,Taji Simon Sr. of Marksville, and Kerry Laurent of Houston, Texas; sisters, Bernadine Davis, Gloria Augustine, Oprah James, Debra Ford, Charlene Simon, Cheri Leget, and Linda Vonquintus; brothers, Aaron Simon, Michael Gary Lee, Earl Sanders, Jessie Barnes, Billy Barnes, Charles Barnes and Bruce Barnes; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
