Mildred Dauzat Bordelon ,87, of Marksville,

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mildred Bordelon will be held at 10 A.M. on Thursday, January 17, 2019, in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Rev. Paul Kunnumpuram and Deacon Darrell DuBroc officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery under the direction of Kramer of Fifth Ward.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, from 5 P.M until 8 P.M. and will resume on Thursday from 8 A.M. until 9:30 A.M. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 6:30 P.M. with Deacon Darrell DuBroc.
Mildred Dauzat Bordelon ,87, of Marksville, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019, at Hessmer Nursing Home.
Mildred was devoted to her family. She loved genealogy and wrote several books on the genealogy of the local Avoyelles Parish families in her community. Mildred enjoyed meeting with friends to play pokeno and loved spending time in her garden with her flowers. Mildred also sang in the St. Cecelia Choir. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Bordelon; her son, Michael Bordelon; her parents, Telisma and Eunice Dauzat; and her sister, Helena Aymond.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Craig Bordelon (Vickie), Brent Bordelon, Jamie Bordelon (Sandra); nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
