Mildred Redmon, 90, Evergreen

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mildred Redmon will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Church of the Little Flower in Evergreen with the Rev. Shoury officiating. Burial will follow in the Bayou Rouge Baptist Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. Redmon, age 90 of Evergreen, passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021 at Riviere Del Soleil Community Care Center.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Marion Redmon; her parents, Wade and Irma Galland Bordelon; her granddaughter, Jackie Paul; twin brother, Milfred Bordelon; sister, Elsie Soldani; and son-in-law, Wayne Cheek.

Survivors include her children; Carol Paul and husband Jerry of Hessmer, Johnny Redmon and wife Wanda of Bunkie, Janell Cheek of Evergreen and Crystal Jeansonne and husband Carl of Evergreen; a brother, Malcolm Bordelon of Metairie; her grandchildren, Dawn Barker, Kimberly Greene, Bradley Cheek and Kayla Sanders; 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
