PLAUCHEVILLE - Funeral services for Millie Firmin Laborde will be Monday, March 19, 2018 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Melancon Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Lowe officiating. Burial  will follow in the Mater Dolorosa Cemetery in Plaucheville under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Melancon Funeral Home on Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and resume on Monday, March 19, 2018 from 8 a.m. until service time.
Mrs. Laborde, age 83, of Bunkie, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Bayou Vista Community Care Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Paul Laborde; her parents, Albert and Essel Dozier Firmin; and her brother, Johnny Firmin.
She is survived by her daughter, Paula Mitchell of Marksville; her brother, Earl (Ima) Firmin of Covington; her two grandchildren, Kelly (Curtis) Fogleman of Lone Pine and Blake Mitchell of Marksville; and her two great grandchildren, Colin and Ashley.
