Nelson Bordelon, 86, Mansura

Funeral services for Mr. Nelson Joseph Bordelon will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, with Robbie Dauzat officiating. Interment will follow in Bradford Cemetery, Deville, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.

Mr. Bordelon, 86, of Mansura, entered eternal rest on Thursday, August 26, 2021, in Riviere De Soleil Community Care Center, Mansura, LA.

He was a retired painter and handyman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and walking in the outdoors. He loved watching old western movies, tending to his farm animals and gardening. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Julia Bordelon; one son, David Bordelon; and one grandchild, Darren Bordelon, Jr.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include three sons, Nathan Bordelon and his wife, Sandra, of Deville, Darren Bordelon, Sr. and his wife, Vikki, of Deville and Shannon Bordelon, of Echo; one brother, Henry D. Bordelon and his wife, Judith, of Kolin; one sister, Linda Duke and her husband, Duke, of Georgia; five grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
