Oray Joseph Delaney, 89, Plaucheville

Funeral services for Oray Joseph Delaney of Plaucheville will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 Beginning at 12:00 pm in Escude’ Funeral Home of Cottonport with Reverend Matthew Cormier officiating. Burial will follow in the Bayou Jack Church of Christ Cemetery.

Oray Delaney, 89, passed away on November 28, 2022 at the Avoyelles Manor Nursing Home in Dupont. He served his country in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen M. and Florence (Billodeau) Delaney; siblings, Jadie Delaney, Lurry Delaney, Phillip Delaney, and Sally Sampey.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 70 years, Nina Katherine (Deshotel) Delaney of Plaucheville; daughter, Jan Hill (Glen) of Minden; son David Delaney (Sue) of Denham Springs; grandchildren, Kitty Foster (David), and Heath Mcgehee (Heather); great grandchildren, Tara Foster, and Garrett Foster; brothers, Frank and Andrew Delaney.

Visitation will be held on Friday December 2, 2022 beginning at 10:00 am until the time of service in Escude’ Funeral Home of Cottonport.
