Mrs. Bordelon, age 79, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Bordelon; parents, Eugenia and Theogene Villemarette; siblings, Marjorie Normand, Paul Villemarette, Rodney Villemarette, Martin Villemarette, Huron Villemarette, Roland Villemarette, Louis Villemarette and one grandson, Eric Bordelon.

Ramona was a very faithful Christian and was extremely devoted to God. She was the second youngest child of ten and was raised in Mansura by her mother, Eugenia, and Father, Theogean Villamerette. They lived a very simple life like many others in the 40’s scraping by to make ends meet. In high school she met Russell Bordelon of Hessmer and a few short years later they were married and had four children; Glen, Debra, Chad, and Craig. The family resided in Hessmer. Mom was the kindest person anyone could want to meet. So full of life and so much love to give. Her kind heart and beautiful smile was always a warm welcome to anyone. Ramona loved to dance, cook, garden, sew and laugh in which she did often. The highlight of her life was the company of her family. If there was a manual on how to love your family, she is what it was modeled after. Ramona lived a full life and brought joy to us all. The bond between she and her children was unbreakable. She wouldn’t want anyone to be sad that she is gone but happy and celebrate her wonderful life, laugh at the good times we all shared with her. She is in a better place in Heaven with her brothers, sisters, parents and Eric. You are so loved and will be deeply missed. Give Eric a big hug and a kiss from everyone and tell him we love him and will see him soon. Momma Rest in peace Mon Cher.

Those left to cherish her memory include three sons, Chad Bordelon and Christine of Echo, Glen Bordelon of Hessmer, Craig M. Bordelon of Cottonport; one daughter, Debra Vicknair and Mitchell of Hahnville; one brother, Warren Villemarette of LaPlace; one sister, Virginia Lemoine of LaPlace; one grandson, Grant Guillot and one great grandson, Brayden Guillot.
